I was thinking of just settling for spray paint on the calipers but then saw this brush paint alternative with great reviews. The advantage was that I didn't have to put plastic garbage bags all over the wheel well.
Man did it come out great. I absolutely love this mod!
Installed these low profile AVS window visors and they look sharp! These are smoke color (glossy black) and match the previously installed aeroskin, tailgate letters, and factory LT trim (door handles, bumpers, rear view mirrors, etc.).
I needed something to make it unnoticeable when windows were rolled down an inch or two. Also something to prevent rain from going inside.
One of my favorite modifications is this aeroskin by AVS. The black color matches the front bumper and cross bars on which the Chevy bowtie logo sits. It gives the impression of the front fascia being extended up and over the front lip of the hood.
It turns an already aggressive-looking grille into a super mean machine.

These LED turn signal bulbs are an upgrade from the factory provided halogen bulbs. Not only are they brighter, they don't have the slow fade effect of the halogen bulbs.
The net result is a better and crisper looking turn signal that's also safer since it's more noticeable.
This 13" replacement antenna is an upgrade for those that would like an antenna below the roofline without sacrificing radio reception.
This smaller antenna will prevent whiplashing the antenna onto the vehicle from striking garage doors, gate arms, low hanging tree branches, etc. In my opinion it also looks nicer than the thin and wimpy-looking factory antenna.
You're not a real "modster" if you don't at least do the tailgate letters, right? I find this to be one of the more basic and essential appearance upgrades for anyone owning a Chevy truck.
The truck just doesn't look right without the insert letters. Almost as if it came out of the factory unfinished!

In my opinion this modification is a must. It upgrades the dimmer factory halogen reverse light bulbs to brighter white LED light bulbs.
This is helpful for seeing objects behind the truck when reversing (on the backup camera too). Also gets others attention easier. Besides the safety, it looks much better.
I changed the license plate light bulbs to brighter and whiter LED bulbs mainly to match the modified LED reverse lights. It wouldn't have looked "right" to me if I hadn't.
It definitely makes the appearance nicer but I don't consider this mod as noticeable or important as the other mods.
I was initially going to buy a red hitch cap and call it a day, but I was presented with the idea of putting a shackle instead. I liked that the red shackle color matched the front tow hooks on my Trail Boss and so I was sold on this alternative.
It comes with a standard receiver pin but for security purposes I purchased a locking receiver pin to prevent someone from stealing it. I don't have a link on here for the locking pin since there are so many options that are equally good.

Like many pickup truck owners, I knew a tonneau cover was more of a necessity than an appearance mod (although it is very much the latter too).
Can't have stuff in the bed and risk someone just reaching over and taking it. Also prevents things from getting wet in the rain. Lastly, it's supposed to reduce drag and improve fuel efficiency they say.
This is an essential tool to have in your truck. As you can see in the photo, it saved me once when I got a flat tire on the road.
I didn't think it was possible to get a flat from a nail with the beefy Trail Boss tires but one got in the groove and punctured one of the rear tires. Luckily I had a tire repair plug kit and this Craftsman air compressor.
This inflator is also good for refilling tires whenever they get low from normal use. It's especially handy for those that off-road. This inflator is high pressure (fills to 160 PSI), has 3 power sources, and small for stowing. Only one I found with all this combined at this low price.
This is the cheapest costing mod I've done. Probably also the easiest too (although the radio antenna change was just as easy).
Though it's small and cheap, that doesn't mean it doesn't make a big difference. After I finished replacing the tire valve caps I couldn't help but think of the saying... "small changes go a long way".
